2026

This body of work continues an exploration of sculptural form in canvas, with a renewed emphasis on restraint and refinement. Developed through a process of reduction; gesture, seam, and surface are gradually pared back until only essential elements remain. The works extend concerns first explored in my edition pieces, translating them into a larger scale with greater structural precision.

Constructed from canvas stretched over a frame and held in deliberate tension, the forms allow careful calibration of proportion, weight, and balance. Innovation operates quietly within the work’s structure, shaping how the surface rests, folds, and receives light.

The rhythms of the Irish landscape provide an underlying spatial logic. Broad expanses, gentle rises, and pauses inform the work’s tempo, inviting slow looking and sustained attention.
